Welcome to the Karnes City Junior High Library and Media Center!  I am excited to see all the amazing KCJH students that come to the library.  The Library is open from 7:30 AM-4:00 PM.  Students can come in to check out books, work on classwork, or just have a quiet place to read.  I will share our newest book here on the website.

Here is a little information about me.  Born and raised in the San Antonio area, I have lived in Texas all of my life.  I graduated from Medina Valley High School, attended Southwest Texas Junior College in Uvalde, then attended Texas Tech University.  I graduated from Texas Tech University in 2002 with a Bachelors of Science in Exercise and Sports Science.  This will be my eleventh year working for KCISD.  I worked for 6 years at Roger E. Sides elementary and this is my fifth year at KCJH.  Being the librarian at KCJH is a dream job for me.  I absolutely love to read.  It is my favorite hobby, besides watching sports.  Some of my favorite books in library at KCJH are Starfish by Lisa Fipps, Summer Ball by Mike Lupica, and any of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series by Jeff Kinney.  

I have been married my husband, Scott, for 30 years.  He also works for KCISD as a teacher/coach at KCHS. We have three beautiful children. Jarrett and his wife Deb, Casey and her husband Seth and Ryan.  I also have two precious grandsons, Parker and Santiago.   We have lived and taught Lubbock, Stamford, San Saba, and Karnes City as a family.  I have worked for school districts in San Saba and Karnes City.
