I’m Stacey Porter, your High School Counselor, and am blessed to be serving here at Karnes City High School.

As a school counselor, I help all students with issues that could affect their personal and social interactions, as well as their academic and career goals.

I strive to help students by: 

·       Promoting positive attitudes among students towards self, peers, family and community.

·       Assisting students in learning how school performance relates to future educational and career opportunities.

·       Helping students to recognize and make the best of their unique abilities.

·       Providing support during a personal crisis.

·       Coordinating referrals to outside agencies.

·       Working with students who demonstrate issues with school attendance.

·       Utilizing career interest inventories and conversation to boost career awareness among students.

·       Helping to create a safe and positive learning experience for all.

Students may request to visit my office by scanning the code outside the front office. A teacher or parent/guardian can also make a referral at any time.
